WATER QUALITY ASSESSMENT OF THREE DOMESTIC WATER SOURCES OF AWKA AND NNEWI TOWNS OF ANAMBRA STATE, NIGERIA

The purpose of this study is to determine the quality water samples from Nnewi and Awka areas ascertain their health risk safety for human consumption. In Canadian Council Water Quality Index [CCME WQI] methodology was used borehole, well, rainwater collected towns Anambra. Nine parameters were evaluation, namely: pH, electrical conductivity [EC], nitrates [NO3-], sulphates [SO42-], chlorides [Cl-], Copper [Cu], Iron [Fe], Lead [Pb] Zinc [Zn] 60 samples.
